At the request of icarusancalion I am passing this along. She and I share a fandom and an area of fanfic, but we don't know each other personally.

But when a person wants to try and make amends and does so with an open and contrite heart, it is right and just to aid them in the action and in the work. Living with what has happened in the shadows of your past life is never easy when seen in the clear light of day. But it is the first step toward healing.

Just got back from one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Had a long time friend [Hey, Stone!], call me up and ended draging me out with other SCA/Fleet friends and we headed off to the 'Southern Kitchen' here in Tacoma.

If you're ever in the area and you want *really* good southern style food - come here. I had the catfish entree [a whole freakin' catfish as long as my forearm, not just a fillet] with a hush puppie [heck with 'puppie', it was closer to a small dog in size] with greens, red beans and okra as my sides and we shared a round of sweet potato fries dusted with powdered sugar as a pre-dinner noshie. And the ice tea? it's real, honest-to-God southern 'sweet tea'. I haven't had these sort of goodies in 'way too many years.

I am absolutely stuffed.

Good food. Good friends. Good evening. Winner all the way around.
